I graduated in July 2012, flew back to the nest and found myself working in a pub…not quite the outcome I had envisioned when I started University in 2008. I know I am not alone in this and this is half the reason I am writing this blog.

My degree was in Classical studies which, before you ask, comprises of a mixture of ancient history, ancient literature, Greek and Latin languages etc. Yet from the age of about 10 my plan had always been to do fashion at University, however I found that most of the fashion degrees were primarily design based and unfortunately I have not inherited the drawing skills of my Architect mother. I had no idea what I wanted to do once I finished university, but after returning home I have instinctively gone back to my creative roots. Therefore I left the pub and returned to work at Warehouse, where I’d worked part-time for 3 years whilst at School, to shadow the Visual Merchandiser there.

I decided to move to London in August 2013, as it’s the place to be for a young woman looking to get her dream career . It was one of the best choices I have ever made, within a month of moving down here, I’d attended my first fashion street style book launch as well as blogging on LFW events. I’m getting closer to where I want to be but still I’ve got a long way to go, follow me as I find my dream job…
