January *groan*, probably the worst month of the year, the weather’s dreary and your purse is empty. However the good thing about January is the ‘looking forward to the year ahead part’ (catchy). Making your new year’s resolutions and planning trips for the summer. Another thing to look forward too is seeing the back of those tatty sale pieces littering the floors of high street shops all over Britain. And the emergence of the new SS collections, bringing freshness and light into the stores.
This week’s blog posts will focus on the top trends for SS14, giving you a focus (well for your new wardrobe at least) and an antidote to those January blues (and those Christmas Jumpers). Today’s fashion focus is Sheer.
Anna K’s collection (https://graduatinginstyle.wordpress.com/2013/09/16/lfw-the-catwalk/) teased us with this fanciful trend back in September at her LFW show. We knew it’d be a long winter ahead before we could step out in ‘barely there’ dresses and luminous lace. But not too long now, so don’t be under prepared. Plan now, look on trend come April.
Designers to inspire: Erdem, Alexander McQueen, Isabel Marant
Where to shop the trend: Topshop
